Having a body odour may seem embarrassing as it may scare people away from you, but without wasting much time permit me to list out

THINGS THAT CAUSES BODY ODOUR

• Bacteria
• Sweat
• hormonal change
• puberty
• And sometimes inadequate bathing

NOW LETS MOVE TO HOW TO GET RID OF BODY ODOUR

HERE WE GO:
1. Keep your body clean
Atleast an average individual should take his bath twice a day
In the morning
And in the evening probably when you're back from school or work.
This is the number step to take, taking your bath twice a day will help boast the process believe me.
Note: while taking your bath pay proper attention to those sweaty areas such as

• The armpit
• pubic areas

2. DRY YOUR BODY WELL
This is another trick unknown to many to prevent body odor . After taking a shower, you should towel off the areas that are prone to sweating and bacteria like we mentioned earlier. This is crucial as dry areas usually make it harder for the bacteria to breed.

3. USE DEODORANT
Make deodorant your best friend. It does not necessarily prevent sweating, but it does at least block the odor that triggers the bacteria.

4. SHAVE YOUR ARMPITS
Now this is very important, 55% of the odour oozing out of the body is from the arm pit due to unshaved hair around it.
You might want to keep
your underarms as dry as possible. This is because majority number of people with personal odor problem complain that armpit is where the odor comes from. Bear in mind that underarm hair can act as bacteria trapper, which will only make everything worse. Hence, shave or wax them consistently.

5. CUT OUT ON ODOUR TRIGGERING FOODS

Did you know that red meat and ingredients such as garlic, onions, curry powder and spices ( masala) may trigger body odor? So does alcohol and caffeine. They are associated with odor problem as these foods cause you to sweat a lot. So you probably would want to cut back on them.

6. WEAR CLEAN SOCKS AND SHOES
It is very much crucial that you pay extra attention to your shoes and socks. You need to wash them regularly. Also, you might want to use an antifungal spray inside your shoes. Make sure to powder your feet too, it helps in absorbing sweat and keeping your feet dry to some extent. Experts suggest that you use cotton socks and change them every three days to prevent odor.

 LEMON JUICE
Lemon juice is an universal remedy. It works effectively to get rid of body odor. This is because lemon juice contains citric acid, an active ingredient that makes your skin acidic when applied. The presence of acid in the skin will limit and control the growth of odor-associated bacteria. Apply lemon juice on the areas you sweat a lot on daily basic.

LIME JUICE
Contrary to lemon juice, lime juice has high levels of acidity. Although more acidic, it rarely causes irritation and works better in getting rid of odors. To try this remedy, halve a lime, and rub it onto your underarm and other odor-prone areas. Do this daily before going to bed. Shower as usual the next morning and make sure to powder and deodorize yourself.

USE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
I am personally a fan of ACV, there’s just almost nothing that it can’t help solve. It contains an intense antiseptic property which prevents the skin from emitting odors. It also kills any bacteria found in the skin when applied. Dab sweat prone areas with some ACV and allow it to dry. You may rinse off when you take your shower. Note: Side effects may be triggered for sensitive skin, test before proceeding.

 BAKING SODA
When there’s the ACV, there’s the baking soda too. They are partners in crime after all. So, how to get rid of body odor by using baking soda? You need lemon juice and baking soda to do that. Mix them in equal parts until a runny paste is formed. Rub it all over your body while you take your shower. This acts as a natural anti-bacterial soap. You may follow up with a mild soap later on after rinsing the paste off your body.

YOU CAN ALSO USE HOLY BASILS
In India, holy basil is used as remedy to treat myriad of conditions, especially flu and lung cold. To use basil for body odor , you need to first crush them. Mix in a few drops of tea tree oil and apply to your underarm. Leave it to dry and rinse off. You need not soap your underarm after that. But you may use a deodorant after rinsing off.

CORN STARCH
Corn starch, especially when mixed with some
lemon juice, does miracle to your body . It is proven that corn starch controls the pH of your skin, thereby limiting the growth of bacteria. Make a thick paste by combining lemon juice and corn starch. Rub this paste all over your body, and leave it on for about 5 minutes. Shower as usual after that.

Just like basil leaves, mint too has some anti-septic properties. Mint helps in killing any type of bacteria found in the skin and reduces toxins in your body effectively. All that you have to do is boil some mint leaves in four cups of water. Later, add the water into your bath water and let your body soak in it for at least 10 minutes. Do this every two days once and watch the magic happen!

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
Hydrated skin is generally problem-free. Hence, make sure to drink at least 8-10 tall glasses of water per day. Water flushes down toxins found in body and keeps your skin hydrated. When toxins are rid, odor can be rid too.
