HOW TO MAKE A HOMEMADE CHICKEN SHAWARMA

CHICKEN SHAWARMA
Here we Go :
Ingredients for the shawarma filling

4 chicken breast (boneless) or
4 chicken thighs (boneless)
1 small sized cabbage(cut into thin strips)
3 sized carrots(grated into thin strips)
1 big onion ( cut into thin strips)
3 big tomatoes (cut into thin strips as well)
1 big cucumber
Ketchup
Mayonnaise
1tbsp of vegetable oil


For the marinade
1 tsp of curry
1 tsp of thyme
1 tsp of onion or minced onion
1 tsp of ginger,garlic and turmeric powder
1 cube of knorr
1tsp of vegetable oil
Salt to taste.

Preparations
First marinate your chicken, how to marinate chicken. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces, place it into a bowl, add the marinade which is curry, thyme, chilli powder, onion, garlic, ginger and turmeric powder, salt, knorr cube and little vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly and leave in the fridge for 2 to 24 hours, as for me I normally leave it overnight, depending on how much time you have. After that, heat up a non stick pan with little vegetable oil, add the marinated chicken and stir fry until juicy and brown. You can also grill it. Remove from fire and set aside to cool. Mix some mayonnaise and ketchup together and set aside.

 Spread the mixture of mayonket on the flat bread then fill the bread with the vegetables and chicken, fold tuck and roll to form a shawarma wraps.

Congratulations your chicken Shawarma is ready. Toasting or grilling is allow if you like it.
